Barry Kostibos: Varsity Head Coach

Barry Kostibos is entering his 10th season at Livingston and his third season as the Lancers’ head coach. Kostibos spent the previous six seasons as an assistant under Bill Tracy and was the team’s defensive coordinator for five of them. Kostibos has been a baseball coach at Livingston for the past seven seasons. He currently teaches United States History and Psychology at Watchung Hills Regional High School.

Kostibos is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in American History. He also holds a Master's Degree from Seton Hall (Social Studies Education) and Rutgers (Elementary/Secondary Administration).

Kostibos and his wife Diane live in Florham Park and have two children: Kevin and Jessica.

Paul Cirlincione: Varsity Assistant Coach

Paul Cirlincione

Paul Cirlincione is entering his seventh season on the Livingstoncoaching staff and his second as the Lancers’ offensive coordinator. Cirlincione also coaches the quarterbacks and outside linebackers. He spent his first four seasons coaching with the freshman team.

Cirlincione, who coaches the boys junior varsity tennis team in the spring, is a Health and Physical Education teacher at Livingston High School. An alum of LHS, Cirlincione was a two-year letterman in baseball and a letterman in football.

He graduated from Montclair State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education.

Jim Flakker: Assistant Coach

Jim Flakker enters his third season on Livingston’s coaching staff.

Flakker currently teaches Physics and AP Physics at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights. He’s also a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University where he teaches general physics and X-Ray Astronomy.

Flakker was an offensive lineman while at Southern Connecticut and graduated with a degree in Physics. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Physics Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education.

Flakker and his wife Jessica live in Bridgewater with children Cadence (5) and Ben (3).

Steve Kroeger: Assistant Coach

Steve Kroeger enters his seventh season as an assistant coach at Livingston. Kroeger coaches the offensive and defensive lines for the Lancers. He also works as the JV team's offensive coordinator.

During the winter, Kroeger works as an assistant volunteer coach for the Lancers' boys basketball team. He also serves as a substitute teacher in the Livingston School District.

A graduate of Livingston High School, Kroeger was a three-year letter winner in football. Kroeger graduated from Seton Hall University in 2007, earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

Darren McAllen: Freshman Head Coach

Darren McAllen enters his 10th year of coaching and his fourth year at Livingston High School.

In addition, McAllen is entering his 11th year of coaching baseball and fourth for the Lancers. He is currently teaches Social Studies (US and World History) at Livingston High School.

In high school McAllen lettered in football, basketball and baseball at University High School in Spokane, Wash. And is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame. A captain in baseball and football, McAllenwas selected to First Team 4-A All Greater Spokane League and received scholarship offers in both sports.

McAllen played at Western Washington University until a back injury cut short his career. He would transfer to Washington State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. McAllen earned his Master’s Degree at Seton Hall University.

Mike Munley: Freshman Assistant Coach

Mike Munley begins his second season on the Livingston coaching staff. Munley’s primary responsibilities will include being the defensive coordinator for the freshman team as well as work with the quarterbacks and receivers.

A Health and Physical Education teach at Livingston High School, Munley coaches Track and Field in the Spring.

Munley is a former athlete and graduate of Vernon High School. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Munley served in various locations throughout the world during his seven years of service. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education for Montclair State University in 2009.

Ian Schwindel: Assistant Coach

Ian Schwindel is entering his first season on the Livingston staff. Schwindel will be responsible for coaching the Lancers' wide receivers and defensive backs.

Prior to joining Livingston, he served as a co-offensive coordinator at Whippany Park. Schwindel also coached the wide receivers and defensive backs. In the spring, he is an assistant baseball coach at Madison High School.

An alum of Livingston High School, Schwindel was a letter winner in both baseball and football.

Schwindel graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education.
